I lie on my back under the black sky,
That like a pall covers the universe.
The tiny stars are sequins of gold,
Dotted throughout the sole blanket that covers me bold.
It is dark over here, I can tell,
I only see the outline of the high-rises and the church bell.
I can hear the traffic not far away,
Cars swishing by, in life’s monotonous sway.
