Dragon Masters Episode 5: The Call in the Dark

In Episode 5, Drake is drawn further into the mystery surrounding the castle. With the revelation that the Dragon Stone picked him, he finds himself standing alone in a chamber that seems more alive than just a space. The atmosphere of silence surrounding him transforms; it is no longer devoid of life. Rather, it seems to be listening.

What draws one into this episode is how, despite having been chosen, Drake still cannot shake off the feeling of insignificance, uncertainty, and fear. Griffith is as stoic as ever, but his cool demeanor only heightens the ominous aura of the scene. There is no denying the fact that Griffith knows what Drake is feeling and, most importantly, that whatever is out there in the darkness responds to him, which signifies that the connection between Drake and the ancient dragon world has become more personal and intimate.

While Episode 5 is a relatively quiet episode compared to its predecessors, it still holds its own as a thrilling experience. It is filled with suspense, with every glance, every pause, every inhalation, and even the slightest whisper becoming crucial to the storyline. Drake starts to understand that being chosen was just the start of the mystery.

The time comes when fear and destiny stand next to each other by the time that the episode ends. It seems that Drake has not developed bravery yet. However, he can no longer ignore the happenings. The chamber responds to him, and what lies further begins to stir.
