The book Elements of Human Anatomy Physiology and Health Education was designed to provide adequate knowledge on the subject for Diploma as well as Degree students of Pharmacy Colleges. With the passage of time, it was realized that while Degree students feel it little less in some details, diploma students felt the contents too heavy for them. Hence, we have decided to give a comprehensive book on the subject specially prepared for diploma students. The book has been prepared exactly as per the syllabus of First Year D.Pharm. students (ER-91). We have included both theory as well as practical on the subject. The book is prima facie meant for Diploma in Pharmacy students. However the contents of the book is in no way small to refrain degree students from reading it as a useful adjunct. Some of the important portions of the book useful to the degree students are acid-base balance, physiology of vision and hearing etc. have been included. Emphasis has been given to describe the nervous system in more details so that it becomes useful in understanding the mechanism of action of drugs which a student of pharmacy has to study at a later stage.
